Gluten-free
UK Food Cert offers Certification to two different schemes, each with specific strengths. Which one is best for you depends on your customers’ preference, product range, volumes sold, and future plans.

Our technical and operations staff can talk you though the pros and cons of each scheme, to help you choose the right one for you.

The AOECS (Association of European Coeliac Societies) Standard for Gluten-Free Foods details the technical requirements for food business operators seeking Certification and who want to license their products for, and to use on their products, the Crossed Grain Symbol. Sites may choose have a stand-alone audit or as bolt-on to a BRCGS Food Safety audit.

BRCGS Gluten-free
The Standard provides a framework for manufacturers to assist them in the production of gluten-free products which comply with legal requirements globally and to meet customers’ requirements. Sites typically have the audit as a bolt-on the BRCGS Food Safety. Certificated sites may use the BRCGS Informed Gluten-Free trademark in all territories not already covered by a dedicated trademark eg The Cross Grain.
